At Katachi Studio, we believe that the objects we live with shape the rhythm and quality of everyday life. Our work responds to each project with a combination of material research, precise digital modeling, and a respect for craft. Each piece is developed through an iterative process that studies how form, ritual, and fabrication intersect, while remaining attentive to timelines, material constraints, and functional intent.
Our portfolio ranges from small-batch collectible objects and experimental prototypes to architectural design, retail installations, and limited collaborative editions. Each design is approached as a dialogue between structure and transformation, developed with fabricators and artisans to understand material behavior through prototypes and scaled tests.
Founded by Gerardo Flores, the studio draws from architecture, industrial design, and contemporary craft traditions. We maintain close relationships with workshops in Los Angeles, Monterrey, Tijuana and Torreón, enabling hands-on exploration of ceramics, metals, and composite processes. This integrated model allows us to refine objects through both digital precision and the tactile intelligence of making.
Katachi Studio continues to evolve through collaborations with designers, cultural spaces, and independent retailers, expanding its research in object typologies, surface innovation, and small-scale manufacturing.
