Katachi Studio works across architectural and object design, interior environments, furniture development, and manufacturing strategy. Our approach links concept, materials, and execution, enabling clients to navigate design and production with structure and confidence.
We combine design, digital modeling, and hands-on experience with multiple materials and fabrication methods. This integrated workflow supports projects at every stage—from early design and material research to technical development, prototyping, and full production coordination.
We collaborate with individuals, studios, and brands on architectural projects, interiors, custom objects, furniture, and small-batch manufacturing workflows, providing design direction and technical support from concept through implementation.

About the Director
Gerardo Flores is the founder and director of Katachi Studio. He is an architectural designer and project manager with professional experience in U.S. and Mexican residential and commercial design, MEP/BIM coordination, and object and furniture development. Gerardo has delivered 50+ multidisciplinary projects across 15 U.S. states during his work as a Project Manager and BIM Specialist, building expertise in technical documentation, consultant coordination, and code-compliant construction workflows.
His background combines architectural design from Tec de Monterrey, early training in finance, and ongoing professional development under PMI frameworks as he pursues his PMP certification. He has led Revit standardization initiatives, created BIM workflows, and managed quality control processes for commercial engineering teams.
Alongside his architectural work, Gerardo founded Katachi Studio in 2020, where he developed original objects and furniture, coordinated production with local manufacturers, and presented his work at Mexico Design Week, gaining national recognition. His multidisciplinary expertise enables him to bridge design intent, material research, and technical execution, supporting clients through both the creative and operational requirements of architecture, interiors, objects, and small-batch production.
